Friday nights at the drive-in
Remember the drive-in? We'd pull into a spot, Dad would roll the window down partway and hang that heavy metal speaker on the glass. The sound was tinny, but nobody cared. We kids were already in our pajamas in the back seat with a blanket and a pillow. Mom packed popcorn from home, and if we were lucky we got one trip to the snack bar at intermission. I don't think I ever stayed awake for the second picture. I'd wake up the next morning in my own bed and never knew how I got there.

Kids in pajamas in the back seat, that was us too! We never made it to the second feature either.
Nobody did! Dad would carry us in from the car one at a time.
